SOURCE ALTAR is a durational performance piece that explores the contemplation of ancestral relationships as well as cultural and religious identity, through the use of iconography, sculpture and endurance. The work features a human body taking the form of a sacred altar, covered with clay and church candles. The body remains motionless and present until the very last one of them burns out. It is a tribute to the enduring influence of our ancestries and a celebration of the ritualistic cultural traditions that connect us to the past, shape our present, and help us consider our future.

SOURCE ALTAR was showcased at the Biennale Arcipelago Mediterraneo in 2022 in Palermo, Italy - it was largely shaped by the city's rich history and cultural diversity. The diversity aspect is a crucial one for this work as it strives to display an image of religious ambiguity, celebrating the diverse cultural tradition that binds us to our collective history.
