"Session Infinity" is an intimate six-hour performance art piece that presents an exploration of
power, control, surrender, trust, and perpetual renewal. The work unfolds through a series of dynamic sequences: initially,
the performer is pursued by the audience throughout the museum, gradually
slowing down to let be enveloped by them. This progresses towards confrontation
and releasing control. Placed amidst sculptures,
the body itself becomes a living, fleshly sculpture, oscillating between
strength and fragility. At the culmination, the artist
stands, smiles, and exchanges eye contact with each person in the room.
This performance was one of four sessions that marked the Sisters Hope takeover of the National Gallery of Denmark during the SMK Fridays event, transforming the entire museum into a sensuous universe. "Session Infinity" was performed during an evening dedicated to celebrating the Sisters Hope performance group — a homage resonating with the author's initial encounter with this remarkable collective. The event attracted 6,000 visitors.
